meet. make. marvel.
M Lounge is a robotics, VR and experiential-learning lab built inside a government primary school — where children design, wire, code and test their own inventions instead of just reading about them.
M Lounge — short for Camp, Create, Celebrate — began in 2019 as a small corner stocked from a teacher's own pocket. By 2023 it had grown into a fully operational makerspace inside GHPS Hinkal, a government higher primary school in Mysuru.
There's no lecture at the front of this room. Children sit in clusters around trays of gears, motors and VR headsets, taking a real build apart to see how it thinks, then putting their own version together.
The long-term goal is bigger than one room: to make M Lounge one of the best school robotics labs in the world, with international partnerships already in progress.
Every session in M Lounge trades the textbook for a build, a headset or an open-ended problem — the same idea in three different materials.
Students design, wire and program working models — gears, pulleys, sensors and simple robots — learning physics and logic through their own hands rather than a diagram on a board.
Headsets turn abstract science into a place you can walk through — the human body, the solar system, a chemical reaction — replacing a static diagram with an experience students can look around inside.
Every unit is rebuilt as an activity: a model to construct, a problem to solve, a real drone to fly. Concepts are learned by testing them, not by memorising them.
M Lounge's work with students in Mysuru was featured as part of a national broadcast segment recognising the National Best Teacher Award.

Teaching science since 2008, Madhusudan has spent the years since building M Lounge from a personal collection of parts into a working robotics, VR and experiential-learning lab inside a government primary school. He also runs a YouTube channel on robotics, 3D printing, VR and AI in education.
His goal reaches beyond one classroom: turning schools like this one into hubs of hands-on invention, and eventually building one of the best robotics labs in the world, right here in Mysuru.
Open to invitations for sessions, school-transformation projects, robotics-lab setup, and collaborations on experiential STEM education.
